N reasons HongKongers should think twice before emigrating #1: Transgenderism

It seems like a massive exodus out of Hong Kong is about to happen. Understandably this causes anxiety of people in other countries. You may think it is ironic that people like us who are strongly against immigration, now ask for other countries to allow us in. (Some of us are proper refugees now by the way, not just "seeking a better life".) In a series of articles I hope to explain:

  • why Western people should not fear us, indeed why you need us;
  • why Hong Kong people should think twice: it is not as rosy as you think, you are just trading one type of tyranny for another.

So, this is the first one!

HK people are mostly unaware of all this woke ideology and identity politics that are engulfing the entire Western world. In the West these days, there are many "oppressed" identities: LGBT, black, muslims, ... all of which have some fringe but very vocal activists, who hunt down anyone who disagree with them. No criticisms or even reservations about their ideology are permitted. If you dare to speak out, you lose your twitter account, you lose your job, you get arrested, you may even lose your child. Yes, that is fascism, but they call you fascists and call themselves "anti-fascists". Freedom of speech is far-right, they say.

(To be fair, most people in those "oppressed" groups are normal ordinary people and just want to get on with their lives. It is only those fanatics (who usually ain't even LGBT/black/muslim themselves) who are persecuting people.)

The best HK people know about this sort of things is probably BLM; but more on that in a later article. You see, all these "oppressed" identities have a pecking order. It may not be the same all the time, but for the last few years, transgender people are always top of the list. It trumps everything else, even Muslims.

But HK people have very little awareness about the trans agenda. Have you heard of gender-neutral toilets? Pronouns in twitter bio and email signatures? "Babies are born without biological sex", or "sex is randomly assigned at birth"? Beware, you better know these things when you arrive here.

In Hong Kong, a teacher lost his job because he said something the government doesn't like. In the UK, a teacher lost his job because he did not use the correct "gender pronoun". In Hong Kong, Facebook freeze your account if pro-government mobs report you about your anti-government posts. In the UK, Twitter "suspends" your account (read: banned forever) if you tweet biological facts like "Women don't have penises". In Hong Kong, police arrest you for just saying "光復香港,時代革命". In the UK, police arrest you for what you say on twitter, from wrong gender pronouns to stating biological facts as above. [One day I'll add the links to these news stories.]

Most HK people want to leave HK not for themselves, but for the children. But do you know what happens in schools? Your 4-year-old kid will be constantly asked "do you want to change sex?" There are regular drag queen story reading sessions for toddlers. Look at their homework, they will horrify you. And if your child shows the slightest (what they claim are) signs of "born in the wrong body", you're toast. If you show the slightest hesitation and do not fully embrace the trans process, the council might even take the child away from you, to "protect" them from your "abuse".

Don't think trans people is just something like 0.01% of the population, it won't happen to you. Yes, in a sane world that's the sort of percentage you'd expect. But they want trans to become the norm. Like every other person should be trans.

And don't think the government would help you. Or even the Church. They are all on their side. They are everywhere.

I don't want to scare you, but you really should think twice. You are just trading China's fascism with trans fascism. At least mentally prepare your children before you send them to schools here.
